IC / REVISION TRACE
Obsolete IC
An alphanumeric suffix can hide decades of revision history. Match package, die family, date-code clues, and supersession paths before accepting a substitute.
Identify the hard-to-find component. Then source the version that actually fits.
Start with a photo, marking, drawing, or partial number. Upload yours to identify it in a workspace, or find this part among the assets you have already saved.

TUBE / MARKING TRACE
Faded glass markings, getter shapes, pin patterns, and military or broadcast variants can separate a safe replacement from a tube that only looks close.
SEAL / FITMENT TRACE
Profile, compound, shaft size, groove geometry, and pressure rating matter together. Trace the seal as a fitment system, not just a ring with a familiar diameter.
HARDWARE / SPEC TRACE
A familiar bolt is not automatically interchangeable. Capture head markings, thread, shoulder, finish, and the assembly it belongs to before a small mismatch becomes a failure.
PCB / INTERFACE TRACE
Board edge, connector keying, silkscreen fragments, mounting geometry, and neighboring components reveal the module’s identity when its original vendor is long gone.
